Manuela’s opinion
Why go there?
To stop over at Les Tilleuls, in an ancient farrier's house, settled under the limetrees that run alongside Torigni-sur-Vire's pond, at a stone's throw of Matignon castle.
For the freshly-cooked crêpes of Mickaël, who learn everything from a true Breton.
To discover the nooks and crannies of this building covered in wood, and have dinner near the fireplace.
With who?
A Breton lost in Normandy !
The regulars
The local deputy sets up his annual cocktail at Les Tilleuls. But you will mainly meet families.
Must-Eat dishes
Gersoise Salad, gizzards, duck breast and roast goat's cheese (6,90€), for starter ; La Viroise Crêpe, cheese, andouille and potatoes (9,80€), for main course ; and for dessert, Chocolate crêpe cake (5,40€).
The wines
Farm cider Le Clos Fleuri (2€ the glass or 8€ a bottle).
Best tables
The Fireplace Room, for a romantic dinner ; or the small dining-room settled in the former stables. Otherwise, on sunny days have lunch in the open air, facing the pond.
